How much slower is a laptop processor?
I am thinking of buying a netbook, and here's what to choose. Processor speed is 1.6 (with 2 GB of RAM) and the other at 1.3 GHz (with 4 GB of RAM). I used to have a 2.0GHz (with 4 GB of RAM) laptop. So my question is, how slower than the new netbooks being compared to my old laptop? What would you suggest keeping in mind that I like all the other features of the two has netbook?. I will use mostly the neetbook to surf the net, some word processing and reading of PDF files. The 1.6 has one 64-bit Win 7, 1.3 have 32-bit Win 7 Starter I have several cards of RAM I will use to extend the maximum allowed which is reflected in the number already given. And the 1.6 one is technically a notebook. Can anyone really answer my question?
Do not buy laptops instead of notebooks or desktop. These are two different products. Laptops are used for Internet browsing, email, and small, basic applications, not as main PC. And, Laptops usually come with 1.6 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, not Netbooks with 4 GBs of RAM.
