Flash … Quit!!?
Of course not .. lol! I'm taking a break from freelance web designer so you can spend time improving my ActionScript skills. I want to go from 3 to 8 in a matter of 3-4 months. I will study 10 hours a day and basically wear blinders to achieve this goal. I hope this is enough time to catch up. If you have any advice on the best books to purchase please make some suggestions. Are there other technologies I should read up on that integrate with flash? I am aware of XML is one of them that know HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Along with Flash that you should be aware AJAX. It does not replace, but they do train a lot of things besides flash. AJAX is the best JavaScript and XML to improve the agile feel of sites web. I like the way the site is underway, and while some people certainly learn from books, I do a lot more dynamic learning when I see or hear someone else. Lee Brimelow has a website which covers a wide range of ActionScript, project creation, importing XML, and passes through concepts very complex. You can follow along at your own pace, and even create your project, you create your own. He tells her not just what they're doing, but speaks with a voice experience about why the code works and provides valuable resources on where to go to learn more. There is a section that talks about other people even decompilation Work to learn, not steal from them. All his videos are free. Also, companies are realizing e-learning that people learn in different ways and who have made their videos easier to use. Both Lynda.com and Total Training have incredibly good instructors. These are two commercial websites for payment, but for $ 25 to 30 per month, you can consume all the media you want. These solutions mean that, while it is absolutely necessary to purchase some reference books you will use again and again for the same price you can see another person, hearing a voice, and continue to write code, as they create projects. If you can stand up 24 hours a day and create a code along with the instructors can have access not only to the limitation of ActionScript, but may venture into Flex, Air, and the large amount application instructions on Adobe Flash is having on this day. Flex and Air are the next steps to Flash. I still use Adobe's director of energy projects. But I can see clearly that ActionScript 3 is inserted into the desktop using Flex frameworks and air to create incredibly rich, agile applications. These frameworks allow the use of JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and Flash to accomplish things, like writing to a user file, drag and drop files into your application. They are doing interesting things, and you will enjoy your next 2 months of learning. Drop us a line when you are there.
